Harrington proposes to Conklin

WORLAND — John and Donna Harrington of Worland are proud to announce the engagement of their son Jeffrey Harrington to Kari Conklin, the daughter of Bill and Karlin Conklin of Portland, Ore.

The groom-elect is a 1995 graduate of Worland High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Southern Colorado. He has resided in Broomfield, Colo., for four years where he is employed by Wild Oats Market and is a wrestling coach at Legacy High School and a substitute teacher for Adams 12 County. Jeffrey will receive his secondary teaching degree from Denver University in December 2008.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Springfield High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Southern Colorado. She also resides in Broomfield. She is the senior client service manager at Creative Alliance in Lafayette, Colo.

The couple will marry at the Wild Basin Lodge in the Rocky Mountain National Park near Allenspark, Colo., on June 14, 2008.

Dolls special guests at Mother’s Day brunch

DOLLS: The women of Zion Lutheran Church were recently treated to a Mother’s Day brunch and were asked to bring their favorite childhood doll and/or story book. Directly below, Cindy Jorgensen holds her childhood doll which she believed was a boy. Her mother Boots Snyder informed Cindy that the doll is really a girl. Sunday, May 11, 2008, marks the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day begun by Anna Jarvis to honor her late mother.
