The Worland Lady Warriors returned from the Re/Max Invitational in Gillette last weekend 1-2 but showed plenty of promise. Worland lost to St. Thomas More (South Dakota) 42-22 on Dec. 7 and Scottsbluff, Nebraska, 54-49 on Dec. 8, but beat Torrington 51-46 on Dec. 9. The Ten Sleep Lady Pioneers tip-off their basketball season today for the first time in two seasons. Unable to field a team due to low turnout, the Lady Pioneers have the numbers to roster a team and compete in the 2024 basketball season. The latest reclassification cycle by the Wyoming High School Activities Association brings changes for Worland High School and Hot Springs County High athletics. With new reclassification rules in place, WHSAA, the governing body for Wyoming high school activities, approved the reclassification for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.
