    WORLAND – Recently, Gov. Matt Mead announced that Wyoming has been awarded $746,730 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National Community Service (CNCS). The grants are to support 140 AmeriCorps members across the state that help serve Wyoming organizations. The members will tackle many critical challenges and face many problems in Wyoming including helping with education, preserving the environment, financial literacy and mentoring youth.     WORLAND – The14th annual Pepsi Wyoming State BBQ Championship and Bluegrass Festival is Aug. 17-18 and features three bluegrass bands. This year’s musical platter includes three bands: Wood Belly, Lochwood Bluegrass Band and The Barefoot Movement.     WORLAND – After a two-year break, the Color Me Pink run returns to Worland this Saturday. In previous years, from 2013 to 2015, Teresa Seidel, the lead mammography tech with the Washakie Medical Center has hosted the Color Me Pink fun run as a way to promote breast cancer awareness. This year, after two years of it being set aside over funding, Seidel has been asked to put it on once again. Prior to the services, Legion members will meet at the Worland cemetery Saturday morning to place American flags on all veterans’ graves.
