    Washakie County 4-H volunteer Kathy Bush said that winning the Wyoming 4-H Northwest Region Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer award came to her as a surprise. According to a previous Northern Wyoming News article, the Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer award is one of two awards to which county 4-H programs may nominate volunteers.   • Commissioners consider granting sheriff vehicular signal boosters

    Washakie County Sheriff Austin Brookwell attended the Washakie County Commissioner meeting to inform the commissioners about a phone signal booster that he found to be beneficial after initial use and now hopes to install signal boosters on all vehicles. Brookwell said, “It would be super handy to have that extra boost of connectivity.” He said the signal boosters would allow for sheriffs to submit crash reports on scene and overall improve work operations, especially in badlands terrain.   • City water main line leaks being repaired

    Two minor leaks in the City of Worland’s water pipeline are being addressed this winter. City of Worland Director of Public Works and Parks Nick Kruger detailed plans to repair the section of pipeline that went into service in 1983. Kruger said that both leaks are located on a water transmission line that connects water wells to the city near Hyattville. Born on August 13, 1933, in Wilsonville, Nebraska, Colleen was the daughter of Robert "Chub" Peter and Irma Jane (Grotfeld) Dillan. She graduated from Wilsonville High School and pursued her passion for nursing at college in Kearney, Nebraska.
