  • Warrior swimmers do not miss a beat in return from break

    Alex Kuhn, Sports Editor|Jan 10, 2018

WORLAND - As hard as the Worland Warriors swimming team pushed themselves before the start of the Christmas break, lightening the training during their break could be justified. But, taking it easy isn't the Warrior way. Instead, the small but determined group pushed themselves even harder. "Coach hammered them over the break. If they were here they were working hard. The hard work showed, Zach's [Cole] times came down. The first week of break he practiced with us but the second week he was in...

The Casper Star-Tribune reports that the workshops will be on Feb. 12-13. Established just outside of Ten Sleep in 2013, the Ten Sleep Brewing Company, looking toward rapid expansion, is considering a move inside the town limits of Ten Sleep, which would require a change to current wastewater considerations for the town, while at the same time bring needed revenue. In November, rep...

    Jan 10, 2018

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from residents of a small Utah city challenging endangered-species protections for prairie dogs, but the plaintiffs say their case alleging that their community has been overrun by the animals has made a mark as the Trump administration moves to loosen the rules preventing people from shooting or moving the animals. The lawsuit was a key driver of the new federal plan that would make it easier to remove or kill prairie dogs when they interfere with development of h...

WORLAND — Now that school has started up again, so has speech and debate. This year, Worland High School coach Rick Dorn has about 30 students competing. Dorn said that some of the top returners from last year include Paris Caines and Rachael Carver, who are the reigning 3A cross-examination champs in Wyoming. Also returning are Arora Chamberlain, Emily Wheeler and Emily Brown, who are all consistent point earners in their categories, he said. Clare Neylon and Nathaniel Nelson are both newer members who had outstanding seasons last year as n...
