  • Karla's Kolumn: Saying goodbye to a great rat hunter

    Jan 12, 2019

Our ad salesperson Erin came back to the Lovell Chronicle office from getting photos for the pet of the week. She told me I had to check this dog out. She showed me the photograph and I agreed I had to meet this 6-month-old blue heeler cross pup. We called the animal control officer and rushed back to the Lovell pound. It was love at first sight for both Sarah and I. A few hours later I had a vet appointment to get her spayed and I was loading her into the back of the vehicle introducing her to...

    Marcus Huff, Staff Writer|Jan 12, 2019

WORLAND – The Worland Middle School will host a Parent Night on Monday at 7 p.m., to give Worland Police Department Chief Gabe Elliott and Captain Zach Newton a venue to inform and educate parents of the drug trends in the area, and popular tobacco products being found among local youth. “The idea for the presentation came from meeting of the Washakie Prevention Coalition, when it was realized most people don’t know what ‘juuling’ is,” said Chief Elliott. While vaping, which burns tobacco-infused liquids, is popular with teens, juuling has...

He noted that when the centers are being “studied” census drops because families are apprehensive of placing loved ones in the center if they may have to move them...

    Alex Kuhn, Sports Editor|Jan 12, 2019

It was an ugly Wildcard weekend for my most courageous picks. The Chargers saved me from going 0-4 on the weekend and the Seahawks improbably helped me go .500 on my against the spread picks. No time to waste though, I have to try and right the ship for the Divisional round, let's get to it. INDIANAPOLIS AT KANSAS CITY (-5.5) All of the conventional wisdom and numbers point in favor of the Colts winning this game. The Chiefs have a historically bad defense and can't stop anyone. The Colts have...
