    WORLAND -On Saturday, Feb. Feb. 11 a disaster was declared for Washakie County, including the City of Worland. The declaration makes state assets more accessible. Overnight, emergency officials received word of an individual trapped in his home as fast-moving flood waters surrounded his home.     CHEYENNE – Governor Matt Mead issued an Executive Order on Friday, February 10, declaring a State of Emergency in response to severe weather and flood conditions across Wyoming.     WORLAND - Several ice jams along the Big Horn River continue to cause flooding in and near Worland. Residents west of the railroad tracks between South Howell Avenue and King Road, as well as Bridge Street are being asked to voluntarily evacuate.     Longtime Worland resident Donald Eugene "Gene" Cliame passed away at Billings Clinic on February 7, 2017 at age 67, surrounded by his wife and family. Gene was born on August 12, 1949 in Morrill, Nebraska. He moved at age 3 days to live south of Bridger, Montana where his father was a section foreman for the railroad.
