THERMOPOLIS - The Hot Springs County Lady Bobcats basketball season came to an end last Friday at Douglas High School during the 3A East regional tournament. CHEYENNE — For a fourth consecutive year, Wyoming will send a team of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (D/HH) students to the Gallaudet University National Academic Bowl competition in Washington, D.C. The Academic Bowl challenges D/HH high school students in a Jeopardy-style game against their peers, and helps to foster camaraderie among D/HH students. WORLAND — Worland Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter is raising money for clean water in a community in sub-Saharan Africa. According to FCCLA member McKenna Mickelson, on Wednesday, the chapter hosted Hat Day at the high school. Donations to the clean water cause were accepted, and those who donated were able to wear a hat throughout the school day, as well as receive a bracelet promoting the effort. WORLAND – Wyoming Senate File 61, a bill which would allow people hunting in Wyoming to wear either florescent orange or florescent pink passed through the Senate on Feb. 19. On Wednesday, according to Rep. Jamie Flitner, the bill was laid back one day on second reading in the House. It will be considered today on second reading.
