WORLAND – The Washakie County Fair Board met Tuesday, and after hearing from a Montana-based music promoter, decided to hold a special meeting on Thursday to determine if the fair can pay an estimated $9,000 for four nights of music during the 2018 county fair. WORLAND – The Hot Springs County High School forensics team captured fifth place in the Class 3A division at the state meet in Lander last weekend. More than 500 high school students from across Wyoming competed at the state speech meet. TEN SLEEP – During the Ten Sleep School Board meeting Monday evening, the board voted to accept Ten Sleep School principal Russell Budmayr’s resignation effective at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Budmayr, who had a prior obligation, welcoming his granddaughter into the world, was unable to attend the meeting Monday night, stated Tuesday morning that he loves Ten Sleep, the school, students, staff and community but for personal reasons he needed to tender his resignation.
