    WORLAND - Worland youth Court Gonsalez won his second Region Eight Elks Hoop Shoot free throw contest in Denver on March 17, and will be heading to Chicago, Ill., to compete in the National Finals on April 21. Gonsalez went 21 of 25 and 4 of 5 in the tiebreaker round to win the boys 12-13 age division for Region Eight, which consist of the state winners from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming.     WORLAND — The Worland High School Science Olympiad teams competed at the state competition last weekend at Casper College. Coach Karen Grzybowski said this year the school had two teams, one a 15-member team and the other eight members with 23 students total competing.     POWELL (AP) — Powell school and police officials say they defused a potential threat to a middle school while the threat was in the planning stage. The Powell Tribune reports officials investigated the threat Saturday after administrators received a tip about a plot to harm students and staff. Park County School District No. 1 Superintendent Jay Curtis said in a Tuesday statement that the threat turned out to be credible, but officials were able to address it before anything occurred.
