    WORLAND – The Wyoming Legislature passed bill SF0072 this year which changed the posted speed limits from 65 mph to 70 mph on secondary roads effective immediately. The change was supposed to have happened over a period of time starting in 2015. “We go back about a year ago, we (Legislature) said there are places in Nebraska and other states where the speed limit is 70 mph on the secondary roads, so we directed WYDOT (Wyoming Department of Transportation) to move the speed limits up to 70 mph,” Wyoming Representative Mike Greear, R – Worland...

    WORLAND – The Worland City Council decides to pay for curb, gutters and sidewalks on street improvement projects in town. In opening up discussion at Tuesday night’s meeting, Mayor Dave Duffy said, “There is a need for some policy that establishes what the city will and will not do for curb, gutters and sidewalk.” He added the city has absorbed costs in the past but has also required residents to incur the costs because a policy was not established.     WORLAND — Gary and Jane Anthony of Worland will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Saturday. The couple was wed April 23, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have two children, Jason Anthony and Elizabeth A. Jolley. Jane Anthony said when they were first married, because of Gary’s apprenticeship as an electrical lineman, they moved a lot.     WORLAND – Donations are now being accepted to return the American Flag Display along Big Horn Avenue for the summer holidays. Late February, City of Worland Building Inspector Nick Kruger started the hunt for the flags that used to line Big Horn Avenue on the lights in the main downtown corridors during Memorial Day and other summer holidays. With help from asking around, Kruger was able to identify the 25 flags in storage at ANB Bank.
