  • Karla's Kolumn: Vaccine or not, respect one another

    Karla Pomeroy, Editor|Apr 22, 2021

Shot number two of the Moderna vaccine came and went with barely a whisper. What I mean by that is that the three of us at the Northern Wyoming News who received our first shot on March 17, received our booster on April 14 and none of us had any more symptoms than we did with the first shot – sore arm where the shot was injected, maybe a little fatigue (when you are like me and average five hours of sleep it’s hard to differentiate between regular tired and possibly vaccine-related tired). One of the employees also reported a few other body ach... Full story

  • The man who made the mountain Wostenberg still snowmobiling at 82

    Ryan Hanrahan, Buffalo Bulletin|Apr 22, 2021

On a sunny spring morning at Meadowlark Ski Lodge, 82-year-old Stan Wostenberg walked to the bed of his truck and started to unclip the straps holding in his orange and black Ski-Doo snowmobile. Wearing denim jeans, work boots and a weathered Carhartt jacket, he might not look like a typical rider, but his roughly 60 years of experience mean he's been riding longer than many snowmobilers have been alive. "People ... said, 'When are you going to quit snowmachining?'" Wostenberg laughed. "I said,...

    Alex Kuhn, Sports Editor|Apr 22, 2021

WORLAND - The first WyoPreps 3A boys soccer poll was released last week, and shocking no one, the Worland Warriors were atop the rankings. The No. 1-ranked Warriors held a 33-game winning streak going into their April 17 game vs. the Pinedale Wranglers. With their win streak on the line and No. 1-ranking, Worland wasted little time as they controlled the entire 80 minutes as they defeated Pinedale 10-0, extending their winning streak to 34 games. "We were just anxious to play," said WHS boys soc...
