    What is a mother? Merriam-Webster defines mother in its simplest terms, “a female parent.” Other dictionaries start off with the primary definition of a mother as “someone who has given birth. Merriam-Webster in my mind has it right.   • Alberta smoke fills up northern Wyoming

    WORLAND — The National Weather Service issued a special advisory statement Friday regarding the smoke in the area. The smoke from a large wildfire in Alberta, Canada, will continue to drift south into northern Wyoming as north winds continue to spread the smoke south into the area behind this Friday morning’s cold front. The visibility could drop to one mile or lower in in some areas. Rainfall expected by Friday evening was expected to wash out much of the smoke in the area.     LARAMIE (AP) — A tractor-trailer has crashed on Interstate 80near Laramie, releasing millions of bees that had been in its cargo. The Laramie Boomerang reports that Wyoming Highway Patrol says the truck owned by Wisconsin-based Rushfeldt Farms was traveling eastbound on I-80 when the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel on Wednesday. The cargo on the trailer contained beehives with honey bees. The semi veered off the road, landing on its passenger side and releasing the bees.
