    CASPER — The officer wounded in a shootout with a suspect in east Casper on Sunday was struck by five or more bullets and remains in critical condition, the Casper Police Department said Monday. The officer, whom police did not name, was taken to Wyoming Medical Center, where he received “immediate, life-saving treatment for his injuries,” the department said in a statement released Monday morning.     William Taylor Reed "Bill", 83, of Worland, died May 6, 2018 at Thermopolis Rehab and Wellness Center. Bill was born November 2, 1934 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Thomas and Alice (Hebbert) Reed. He attended school in Sheridan, Wyoming. Bill enlisted in the Navy in 1952 and served with honor on the USS Iowa and the USS TE Chandler. He spent 38 months in Korea serving his country.
