    WORLAND - Worland's Taylor Lind and Aaron Vigil are the latest winners of the Tom Easterly Memorial Award, which earns the winners a lifetime Wyoming game bird/small game license and lifetime conservation stamp.     WORLAND – The City of Worland and Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will hold a public open house at the Community Center Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m. to review recommendations for the Washakie Avenue Corridor Study. The study, launched in August of 2015, is intended to evaluate alternatives to improve safety on Washakie Avenue from Railway Avenue to County Road 11.     WORLAND - Marilyn Lane of Worland was appointed as the State of Wyoming Elks president on May 21 at the state convention in Worland. Being the state president entails travelling to Montana and Colorado for their state meetings as well as attending the Grand Lodge session in Houston. Lane will also be travelling to all 16 lodges throughout Wyoming. Lane said her biggest job is to promote Elkdom and help with the projects that the Elks Lodge has.     Gerald Dale Wagner went to be with the Lord on May 22nd 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, Montana, following a short battle with cancer at the age of 69. Dale was born to Edward and Helen Wagner in Torrington, Wyoming. Eventually, the family moved to Worland in 1956 to farm. Dale met the love of his life Angela Crawford at the University of Wyoming and were married for 46 years.     A remembrance get-together for Nellie M. Dowdy, 80, will be Saturday, May 28 at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds in Thermopolis. Mrs. Dowdy died suddenly May 16 at her residence in Hot Springs County. Mortimore Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.... Full story
