    CODY - The U14 Worland Wildfires softball team saw their first action of the season at the Heart Mountain classic on May 21-22. The Wildfires played a total of seven games and earned a third-place finish at the classic. Opening pool play for the tournament the Wildfires led most of the game but committed a few costly errors that resulted in a 10-9 loss to Rock Springs.     WORLAND - Four players of the Worland Warrior soccer team were named to the All-Conference and All-State teams by the Wyoming Coaches Association. The Warriors named to both teams were seniors Jacob Lamm, Kyle Lamb, Braedon Page and Jakob Schaeffer. For Lamm, Page and Schaeffer this is their second time being named to the All-State team. (AP) — A Worland teenager charged with slaying a couple and wounding their daughter after the family stopped to help him on Montana’s Crow Indian Reservation will rely on an insanity defense if the case goes to trial.     WORLAND – Over 100 animals were tagged at the Washakie County Fairgrounds and at a Ten Sleep Park over a two day period. The tagging, available for 4-H and FFA members, started at 5 p.m. and lasted until 6:30 p.m. on both days, Washakie County 4-H Educator Amber Armajo said.     Former Worland resident Conrad "Cooney" Keller died on May 30, 2016 in Boulder, Colorado after being stricken with Alzheimer's disease in 2003. Conrad was born on December 12, 1948 in Ranchester, Wyoming. He was one of eight children born to Freida (Strecker) and Edward Keller. He moved to Hardin, MT with his family in 1949 where the family farmed until moving to Worland in 1958.
