    RIVERTON - Worland's Karsten Simmons won the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour Wyoming State Championship at the Riverton Country Club over the Fourth of July weekend. The tournament is another leg of the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour. Simmons was one of three participants in the boys 11-12 age group and won the tournament by five strokes.     JACKSON (AP) — Wyoming has cut back on what kind of evidence can be tested in its crime lab, leading to mixed responses from the law enforcement community. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Director Steven Woodson told prosecutors and law enforcement officials that that the lab will stop performing hair, fiber, physical match, glass and headlamp analysis.     Darrel Raymond Gossens, 77, passed away on July 5, 2016 after a nine-year battle with kidney cancer. Darrel was born on February 17, 1939, the son of Raymond and June (Doyle) Gossens of Ten Sleep in Worland. He spent his younger years growing up on the family ranch on the Lower Nowood. He graduated from Ten Sleep High School in 1957. After graduation he worked around the area before going to work for the Federal Bureau of Roads. He spent many years building roads in National Parks, on the Big Horn Mountains, and in Colorado, Montana and Utah.... Full story

Belen was born in Worland on September 23, 1945 to Carmen (Ramos) and John Anthony "Tony" Fabela. She attended Worland schools.
