WORLAND - A fire that occurred Wednesday, July 14 has been ruled as an accidental fire, but a specific cause has yet to be determined, according to Worland Fire Department Chief Chris Kocher. James Arthur Hinderliter, 72 passed away July 22, 2015 at his home near Pinedale, WY. after a battle with bone cancer. He was born to John Arthur and Clyde Lea (Spears) Hinderliter in Dothan, AL on November 11, 1942. His family were some of the first military dependents who lived in Japan after WWII. WORLAND-When the smoke cleared Thursday evening at the Washakie County Shooting Complex, the 4-H department had completed its fourth consecutive day of youth shooting sports. BASIN - The Big Horn County Fair got under way Friday with the 4-H Dog Show at the fairgrounds in Basin and in addition to the usual exhibits and animal shows, this year's fair also features a hypnotist and balloon artist. WORLAND - A Worland woman is seeking a single donation - of a viable kidney from an unknown donor. Karen Barr, who has lived in Worland most of her life, was born with a defective gene, as she described it. The gene causes polycystic kidney disease (PKD). "I need a transplant in order to avoid being put on dialysis," Barr said. "They only transplant one kidney at a time.
