    WORLAND – Washakie County did not have an active case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 29, but saw a sharp increase starting the following day that has led to nine active cases in the county as of press time on Tuesday, Aug. 4.     WORLAND – After a brief discussion to introduce the topic at Tuesday night’s regular meeting, the Worland City Council will discuss at Monday’s work session what types of hearings to allow for municipal court and if city hall is the best location for those hearings.     WORLAND – Washakie County Clerk Mary Grace Strauch was recognized as the Washakie County Republican of the Year at the Lincoln Day dinner on Saturday, July 25, at the Green Hills Restaurant.     WORLAND — Over the next week there will be two opportunities for families in Washakie County in need to find some food relief. The Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile Food Pantry returns to Worland this Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Washakie County Fairgrounds. He was the oldest of 7 children born to John Louis and Emma (Lehman) Weber. He grew up in Worland graduating with the WHS Class of 1953.     A Fremont County man previously confirmed as testing positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has died, increasing Wyoming’s total number of deaths associated with the virus, according to the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH). The older adult man had health conditions recognized as putting patients at higher risk of serious illness related to COVID-19 and had been hospitalized.     CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Governor Mark Gordon has announced that updated public health orders will ease restrictions on the size of permitted outdoor gatherings beginning August 16. Public Health Order No. 2 has been updated to allow outdoor gatherings of no more than 50% of venue capacity, with a maximum of 1,000 people as long as social distancing and increased sanitization measures are in place.     WORLAND - The Washakie County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees met for an emergency board meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, Aug. 12, to discuss potentially delaying the start of the school year at East Side Elementary.
