    WORLAND - Promising young golfer Karsten Simmons continued his busy summer on Aug. 6-7 in Laramie at the Wyoming State Junior Golf Championship, taking fourth in the tournament. Simmons shot an 80 in the first round and 79 in the second for a total of 159 on the tournament. Two weeks before the tournament Simmons celebrated his 13th birthday, moving him into the 15 to 13 age division. Previously he had been competing in the 12-10 age division.     WORLAND — Shelley Spence won the 2016 Rhubarb Rhevival with her Rhubarb Shortbread Bars Saturday. Judges Doris Kern, Mary Grace Strauch and Boots Snyder sampled a variety of rhubarb products made with Wyoming Sugar.     WORLAND – Filing starts today for seven board positions for Washakie County School District No. 1 and Washakie County School District No. 2. Board members Susan Scheuerman, Julie Hann and David Tommerup all have expiring terms and the four-year board positions are open for election for District No. 1.     SHERIDAN (AP) — A Wyoming judge has set bond at $150,000 for man charged with fatally shooting his wife while their five young children were in the home. The Sheridan Press reports that the 41-year-old Sheridan man could face 20 years to life in prison if he is convicted of the murder charge. According to court documents, the man initially told police his wife was shot as the two struggled over a gun Friday evening, but later said he shot her out of fear of her attacking him.
