    Karla Pomeroy, Editor|Aug 11, 2018

Everything needs a sequel nowadays and my column from a few weeks ago on Things I Know but Don’t Understand is no exception so here goes. •I know my dog fell in my window well but I don’t understand after three years why now. And I don’t understand since she’s the one who loves to bark at everything … and nothing … why she remained silent even when I was calling for her. She was fine by the way. I told her sister, who was outside with her at the time, that Lassie would have told me where she was so I didn’t have to go outside hollering for h...

    Karla Pomeroy, Editor|Aug 11, 2018

WORLAND - Is an animal shown at the county fair show-ready or table-ready and can they be both? That is a question that three local businesses determined to find out and subsequently to reward those youth with industry-standard table-ready animals at this year's Washakie County Fair. "It was a lesson in economics and capitalism," Steve Tharp of Tharp Veterinary Service said. He said Tharp Veterinary Service, Trombley Construction and Asay Animal Health got together to sponsor the table-ready...

  • On to the next one

    Alex Kuhn, Sports Editor|Aug 11, 2018

WORLAND - Of the many great things about athletics is the confrontation with failure. Every athlete, from the amateur to the pro ranks, has dealt with failure and it's how each athlete deals with failure that will determine their future success. Worland powerlifter Alejandra Rice ran into failure while competing at the USPA National Powerlifting Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 13. The Worland High School junior failed her second squat attempt, a first for her, and later on, failed...

  • Hear Me Out...Wyoming's top five professional athletes of all time

    Alex Kuhn, Sports Editor|Aug 11, 2018

Uggghhh ... is anyone else getting exhausted by these Trump tweets? It's the same thing every year or the same insults thrown at people he doesn't like. Last week he took a shot at LeBron and the only thing surprising about it was how long it took him to do so. Then, in what's slowly becoming a tradition with the start of the NFL season, he complained about the NFL players and their demonstrations during the national anthem. It really feels like we're in a time paradox from "Star Trek" and...
