    CODY – Back in 2011, the City of Cody created a committee to address the growing urban deer problem. Native mule deer had moved into town limits, and had accounted for numerous auto accidents and property damage. In an effort to garner public input, the committee issued a survey. The town returned a 50/50 decision to eradicate the deer, so the committee tabled the decision to await further developments.     DOUGLAS - A Big Horn County 4-H educator has received the Champion 4-H Educator Award for contributions to the Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo. Gretchen Gasvoda of Greybull received the award from the Wyoming Association of Extension 4-H Agents (WAE4-HA) Saturday during the state fair in Douglas.     WORLAND - Worland High School teacher Mark Mortimer has hit the ground running in his new position as the activities director of WHS. In the spring Mortimer was named to the position after previous AD Bruce Miller accepted the West Side Elementary principal job. Becoming the WHS AD also meant Mortimer would have to step down as girls basketball coach, fresh off a 3A championship.
