    WORLAND – A special exemption for in-home childcare was approved at the Worland Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission meeting Thursday afternoon. Krystal Re said, “I went through all the hoops,” and while the state gave her a maximum occupancy of 10, she will only take up to six because of insurance purposes.     WORLAND – A 13-year-old Worland Middle School student built a prosthetic hand using a 3-D printer. Eighth-grade student Hyrum Rich spent his summer taking enriched courses in computer technology and robotics, though it wasn't mandatory.   • Governor Mead asks agency heads to look for additional budget savings

    CHEYENNE – Governor Matt Mead sent a letter to State Agency Directors on August 24, 2016 encouraging them to look for additional efficiencies in their budgets. The State revenue shortfall, as the Governor told the Joint Appropriations Committee in June, could fall $240 to $510 million short of projection. The Governor has not ordered agencies to implement more budget cuts at this time but has cautioned them to limit supplemental budget requests and that the Legislature may implement additional cuts. “I anticipate the Legislature may need to...

    DOUGLAS — Three horse show competitors earned multiple ribbons at the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas last week. Two Washakie County 4-H members earned a couple of championships at the State Fair. Maddie Fantaskey captured three grand championships, winning in senior ranch riding, senior reining and senior western riding. She also placed fifth in poles and sixth in barrels and trail.
