    WORLAND - The Worland Lady Warriors swimming team got off to a fun and exciting start in Lander on August 24-25. Seniors Juli Warren and Kyra Klinghagen wasted little time in showing why they are among the top athletes in the pool.     WORLAND — Washakie County School District No. 1 Superintendent David Nicholas provided updates on the efforts to make the Worland schools safer. Nicholas told the board of trustees Monday night that the fencing around the shop/agriculture area has been completed in time for the start of the school. He said due to the nature of the shops the bay doors are usually open so the perimeter needed to be secured.   • Plague confirmed in Sheridan County cat

    SHERIDAN — A Sheridan County cat has recently been confirmed as infected with plague, according to the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH). No human cases have been identified in the area. The cat’s home is in Big Horn and the animal is known to wander outdoors in the area.     WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and Congresswoman Liz Cheney, all R-Wyo., applauded the decision by the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) Wednesday that reversed the tariffs on uncoated groundwood paper imported from Canada, which increased the cost of newsprint used for newspapers.
