    DEVILS TOWER (AP) — Just like in the science-fiction movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” UFO enthusiasts are being drawn to a strange geological formation in Wyoming. Devils Tower played a key role in the well-known UFO film that came out 40 years ago this year. The first Devils Tower UFO Rendezvous will be held at the site from Sept. 14-16.     Nora Eckstrom, 86, passed away on July 17, 2017 at the Worland Healthcare and Rehab Center. Nora was born on November 6, 1930 in Plainview, Nebraska to Aron Edward and Melva Martha (Dunaway) Forsberg. She graduated from Plainview High School where she played drums for the marching band. She married William Alfred Eckstrom of Creighton, Nebraska on December 22, 1949.     James (Jim) Edward Pyer Ill, 75, of Casper, Wyoming passed away August 27, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming. His children were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born on January 30, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio to James Edward Pyer Jr., and Eleanor Francis Filbert Pyer.
