    WORLAND — Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead has appointed Bobbi Dean Overfield to be District Court judge for the Fifth Judicial District, serving Big Horn, Hot Springs and Washakie counties. Overfield fills the vacancy that is occurring with the retirement of Judge Robert E. Skar, effective Oct. 2. Born and raised in Riverton, Overfield is a partner with Michael Messenger in Thermopolis. (AP) — Wildlife advocates pressed a Montana judge Thursday to restore federal protections for a group of about 700 grizzly bears and block hunting that’s set to begin this weekend, but the judge said he would not make an immediate ruling.     WORLAND – On Thursday, Washakie County Youth Alternatives Administrator Sheri Gunderson was notified that the county was one of three state recipients of a national Drug–Free Communities Support Program grant, awarded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).     TEN SLEEP - In an early 1A Northwest volleyball conference matchup the Ten Sleep Lady Pioneers hosted the St. Stephens Lady Eagles Thursday night at Ten Sleep High School.
