    WORLAND — The Washakie County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees moved forward with a new policy regarding a tier system for volunteers. Superintendent David Nicholas told the board at Monday’s regular meeting, “This isn’t to deter help. We absolutely cherish our volunteers.” He said the policy helps our administrators keep track of who is in the building. The board first discussed the meeting at the August meeting.     WORLAND - Reports from the City of Worland and Washakie County indicate that the removal of a sediment bar in the Big Horn River is going well, and an estimated 5,000 cubic yards of material have been removed during the first week of the project.     Charlotte May Dean, 81-year-old Worland resident, passed away September 23, 2017 at the Billings Clinic. Charlotte was born on November 12, 1935 in Basin, WY, the sixth of eight children born to Everett Melvin and Vivian Jane (Brunk) Holdren. She grew up in Worland attending Worland High School through 10th grade. The summer of her sophomore year she was married to Lawrence Louis Dean in Thermopolis.
