    WORLAND - Emergency crews were busy Monday night with some flooding issues in Worland. According to the National Weather Service, Worland received nearly two inches of rain within a 24-hour period, 1.93 inches, from Oct. 3 through Oct 4 at about 6 a.m. For just Monday, the National Weather Service reported record moisture for Worland with 1.79 inches, breaking the 2013 record of .84 inches.     WORLAND - Worland senior Taelor Nielsen was named the Distinguished Young Woman of Wyoming 2017 and was awarded $2,600 in cash scholarships during a statewide scholarship program for high school girls held at the First Christian Church in Laramie Saturday.     WORLAND – An eight-month review of Guardian Flight program was given at the Washakie County Commissioner meeting on Tuesday morning. Shannon Pollock, with Guardian Flight, met with the commissioners and went over response times and reflected on eight months of service in Washakie County.     David Abe Godfrey, a longtime Big Horn Basin resident passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Billings, Montana. He was 68. Dave was born on October 17, 1947 in Heber City, Utah, the eldest child of Sidney and Mary Jones Godfrey. He was raised in Hyattville and graduated from Manderson-Hyattville High School in1966. On June 28, 1968 he married Linda Lee Schwartz in Worland, Wyoming. Their marriage was sealed in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple on August 12, 1976. Linda preceded Dave in death on... Full story
