More than 500 Washakie County voters have already cast their ballots in the 2024 General Election, according to Washakie County Clerk Lily Rakness Parra. Rakness Parra said Friday morning that they have sent out 676 total absentee ballots and received 525 back ahead of the Nov. 5 General Election. Voters are deciding on several local and federal races as well as a state constitutional amendment. Absentee ballots are accepted through November 4. Grant Masashi Ujifusa, of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away on Oct. 21 at the age of 82. Grant was born on Jan. 4, 1942, in Worland, Wyoming, to Mary and Tom Ujifusa. This Halloween holds many activities for people to enjoy. Tonight (Thursday), the Worland-Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce will be holding a trunk-or-treat on Ninth Street by Pioneer Square from 4 to 9 p.m. So far, 12 businesses and one individual have agreed to participate according to assistant coordinator Chassity Kiser.
