    THERMOPOLIS — Nearly 1,500 Rocky Mountain Power customers in the Thermopolis area were without power for about 4.5 hours Thursday. According to Rocky Mountain Power Spokesperson Margaret Oler, Thursday morning’s power outage began at 7:02 a.m. and initially impacted 1,468 customers. She said earlier reports of 2,500 customers was due to duplicate reports being received. Oler said the outage was due to a problem at the Western Area Power Administration substation.     Michael James Mead, 53, passed away at his home in Stokesdale, North Carolina on October 27, 2015. Born to Marvin and Shirley Mead in Worland, Wyoming, Mike was the youngest of four children. Upon graduation from Worland High School, Mike joinded the Navy and traveled the world. During his service, he was deployed on two tours of duty, in June 1982 on the USS Forrestal and in April 1984 on the USS Saratoga. In 1985, Mike was honorably discharged.
