    WORLAND – Recently, the Worland Youth Learning Center (WYLC) started taking donations for their military care packages that will be going out to an 18 soldier-unit marine base in Kuwait. This month at WYLC’s parent party, attendees will be writing their own thank you letters to the military. On Nov. 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., families will be invited to come partake in a free chili dinner and write their thank you letters. The center requests families to sign up in advance.     WORLAND — This year, the Worland community garden had another successful year, thanks in part to Action Resources International and a support from the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Located across from the baseball fields at Newell Sargent Park in Worland, the University of Wyoming Washakie County Extension garden, which began four years ago, grows melons, pumpkins, tomatoes, sunflowers, and a variety of herbs for local consumption.     WORLAND — The Worland City Council will have two versions of a vendor ordinance for perusal tonight at the regular council meeting. The council discussed an initial draft of the ordinance at the Oct. 16 meeting. The two versions to review tonight include changes stemming from the discussion. Both versions prohibit canvassers, solicitors and peddlers from going door-to-door with some exceptions mainly geared toward local organizations and events.     WORLAND - While their numbers were few the Worland Lady Warriors made their presence felt at the 3A State girls swimming meet in Laramie on Friday and Saturday. Worland finished fifth as a team, scoring 137 points with only seven athletes, and had two All-State selections, Kyra Klinghagen and Juli Warren.
