    Robert Gagliardi, WyoSports|Nov 16, 2017

LARAMIE – Javaree Jackson was told by a teammate well after it happened. Youhanna Ghaifan didn't seem to care one way or the other. However, those two University of Wyoming interior defensive linemen played a significant role in the Cowboys' 28-14 victory at Air Force last Saturday. The duo combined for 21 tackles, and both recorded career single-game highs. Ghaifan finished with 11, including two tackles for loss. Jackson had 10. He entered the game with 13. • Hosting Thanksgiving? Some like rehearsing the feast

    COLLEEN NEWVINE TEBEAU, Associated Press|Nov 16, 2017

Before theater professionals perform a play for an audience, they run a dress rehearsal to look for kinks that need fixing before the show opens. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner is a big production that can benefit from rehearsal, too, say some veteran hosts. Cortney McLellan grew up helping her mother cook, but was nervous when she was stepping up to host her family’s Thanksgiving. “My quote-unquote ‘recipe book’ was in my head,” recalled the Flushing, Michigan resident. “I wanted to make sure I had all the recipes right.” Thanksgiving...

  • US stocks decline for a second straight day; oil falls

    ALEX VEIGA, AP Business Writer|Nov 16, 2017

Technology companies led U.S. stocks lower Wednesday, giving the market its biggest loss since early September. Grocery stores and packaged foods and beverage companies also accounted for much of the decline. Energy stocks fell as the price of crude oil closed lower a day after its biggest loss since October. Banks and phone companies eked out modest gains. The latest slide extended the market’s losses from a day earlier and added to its pullback in November. Unlike October’s broad market rally, fewer stocks and sectors have been notching gai...

  • Despite 7 women's statements, Bush unlikely to be prosecuted

    Nov 16, 2017

HOUSTON (AP) — Allegations that former President George H.W. Bush inappropriately touched seven women involve potential crimes punishable by fines or jail time, if they had been prosecuted. All but one of the cases is ineligible under state laws that limit when a prosecution can begin after an alleged crime, and several lawyers interviewed said that it would be difficult to win a conviction against Bush, who has vascular parkinsonism, a rare syndrome that mimics Parkinson’s disease. “You’re still going to be facing prosecuting a 93-year-old man...

    Nov 16, 2017

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) — A McDonald’s drive-thru window became a squeeze-thru window for a woman who apparently needed a fast food fix. A surveillance video, posted on the Twitter feed of Howard County Police in Columbia, Maryland, shows the break-in early on Nov. 5, when the restaurant was closed. The woman reaches through the window for a soda cup and tries unsuccessfully to fill it from the dispenser. She then manages to squeeze herself into the restaurant through the small window and gets a soft drink. The camera zooms in on her uncovered fac...
