    WORLAND - The Washakie County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees honored retiring secretary Laura McDonald and outgoing board members Julie Haun and Susan Scheuerman at Monday's meeting.     TEN SLEEP – The Ten Sleep Solid Waste District has met with engineers and contractor Copper Creek Construction, and confirms that the transfer station, slated to replace the landfill in April 2017, will be completed within the next 30 days. Landfill manager Holly Redland has been trained on the use of the newly-installed drive-over scale at the landfill entrance, and will begin testing the equipment by mid-December.     LOVELL — Blowing, drifting snow and poor visibility has accelerated the annual fall roadway closure of U.S. 14A between Lovell and Burgess Junction. U.S. 14A officially closes for the season Tuesday.     THERMOPOLIS — A 4-H educator rejoined the Hot Springs County extension office last week. Joey Johnson had previously served as the county’s 4-H educator from 2013-15.     David Cameron Taylor, 76 passed away on November 24, 2016 in Buffalo at the Suzi Lawrence Bowling Hospice after a home stay with cancer. His wife of 52 years, was at his side at the time of his passing. Cameron was born on February 28, 1940 the second son of Robert Fulton Taylor, and Beryl Aloise (Hanner) Taylor.     John L. Donaldson died peacefully Nov. 20, 2016, at St. Vincent's Healthcare in Billings. He was 82. He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Maquon, Illinois, to Hilma Cowman and Leo Donaldson. John served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He married Christine Cline on July 12, 2013, in Powell. John was a member of Elks, Eagles, American Legion, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.
