    WORLAND - Wyoming Sugar’s beet harvest exceeded expectations this year with a record harvest and record sugar content. Wyoming Sugar Vice President Vince Salzman said, “The 10,600 acres planted usually yields around 31 tons per acre which equals 328,600 tons per season. This year the 10,600 acres yielded 31.8 tons per acre which equals 337,080 tons this season, with a record sugar content of 19.15 percent.” Salzman gives the credit for the excellent harvest and high sugar content to the growers and the crew at Wyoming Sugar. “The weather...

    WORLAND — During a sometimes tense meeting Tuesday, Worland city councilors discussed a golf course maintenance contract. Worland Mayor Dave Duffy said there is a great deal of information being spread throughout the community. Green Hills Golf Course board member Katelin Vail addressed the council.     WORLAND — Worland’s aspiring thespians are taking their act to Laramie today. The Worland High School Drama club is headed to the state competition which begins today in Laramie. The club hopes to defend its state title, having won the contest last year. Students will perform a variety of acts and styles, with others competing in costume and set design.     Mary Margaret Treanor passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Worland, Wyoming. She was born on April 8, 1925 in Glen Ulllin, North Dakota, one of 9 children born to John and Minnie (Emter) Hertz. When Mary was a young girl they moved to Bridger, Montana where she received her early education, then moved to Billings, Montana where she continued her education.
