    WORLAND – On Tuesday area first responders including law enforcement, fire and emergency response teams and ambulance crews, met with the Washakie County Commission to detail plans for a county-wide full-scale exercise to be held this Saturday, to enact a hazardous materials event.     WORLAND –The National Weather Service honored Hot Springs County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Meri Ann Rush as a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador of Excellence for central and western Wyoming Tuesday evening, just before the Hot Springs County Commissioners meeting.   • Greybull Shopko among 39 stores closing

    GREYBULL — Shopko announced this week that it would be closing 39 stores in 19 states. Shopko Public Relations Manager Michelle Hansen said there will still be more than 300 Shopko stores open throughout the country, including the one in Worland. According to the Shopko website, there are 13 Shopko stores in Wyoming. The Greybull store is the only store in Wyoming scheduled to close. This leaves stores in Worland, Thermopolis, Powell, Afton, Buffalo, Douglas, Green River, Lander, Mountain View, Newcastle, Torrington and Wheatland. According t...
