  • Karla's Kolumn: The Christmas spirit

    Karla Pomeroy, Editor|Dec 15, 2018

I believe Worland has found the Christmas spirit and in abundance this year. It started on Nov. 24 with the RT Communications Trim-A-Tree Lighting Ceremony. It was the first year and having been in attendance I felt it was a spectacular success. There were a couple hundred people in attendance including the families of those who trimmed the trees. People arrived early and stayed late. The music by the Sugar Beats was wonderful. It was a nice, hometown Christmas event where people could gather...

WORLAND - You don't have to go far to find winter recreation opportunities, in fact you don't even have to leave the city of Worland. Volunteers helped blaze and groom trails for biking and cross-country skiing just a few weeks ago but the idea was generated last year. Public Works Director Brian Burky informed the council during a December meeting in 2017 that the Powder River Nordic Ski Club had approached him about putting some trails at the golf course. The council granted permission but...

But the two NFL related things I want to talk about are the NFL MVP debate and one of the 32 owners stepping up and being a team player. First, who is this year's NFL MVP? If I had a vote, my top five are at No. 5 Philip Rivers, No. 4 Khalil Mack, No. 3 Todd Gurley, No. 2 Drew Brees and No. 1 Blake...
