I was 9 years old when my family moved to Green River, Wyoming. Having previously lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for my entire known existence, moving to a state with half the population of Vegas was jarring. Wyoming offered much more in terms of outdoors but stores closing at 8 p.m. and sometimes for the weekend was mind blowing for a young Alex Kuhn. At the start of my teens my family moved to Greybull, Wyoming. At this point I thought I was getting punked by God. How is it even possible a town...

For the laymen or non-climbers improving your rock climbing skills seems like it would be rather straightforward and before you know you will be like Sylvester Stallone in 'Cliffhanger.' Earlier in the week, I wrote why it was OK for Kevin Durant to leave town. Now it's time to dive into how this Golden State Warriors team will be the best team in all of sports to watch. The Warriors are a new breed of NBA super team. Generally, super teams are put together with players on the tail end of their primes, or they're a step below what they used to be. Like when Charles Barkley went ring chasing by joining the Houston Rockets. Super teams are also made up of a "Big Three", like the...

The NBA has the best offseason of any sport. They get right to it, as soon as the NBA Finals are done the NBA draft is the following week, and the draft itself is more entertaining with trades happening at every turn. We aren't subjected to months and months of pre-draft scouting reports that tell us unnecessary information like what diet gives QB 'A' better bowel movements. The NBA gets to the point and after the draft is free agency which usually has a handful of good players to keep things in...

Adult recreation league sports are a great way to get some exercise, and for the competitive individuals out there, it’s another outlet to satisfy the competitive itch. Sure, the games don’t have the same meaning as they did in high school or college but getting to know people and becoming integrated within in the community are great benefits. I play in rec league sports like coed softball, basketball and men’s softball. They’re a blast, and I’ve come to know more people through playing in these leagues than work or through a mutual friend. T...
