LARAMIE – The University of Wyoming didn't need a perfect game to beat UNLV on Tuesday at the Arena-Auditorium. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, they were anything but perfect. The Hot Spring County High School Bobcats won the 2A West regional wrestling meet over the weekend scoring 186 points and having two regional champions in 113-pound Austin Ireland and 220-pound Logan Cole. LARAMIE – The University of Wyoming men's basketball team found out first hand why Nevada is the No. 7-ranked team in the country. UW didn't have many defensive answers, and couldn't generate nearly enough offense in an 82-49 loss in front of 5,287 at the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday night. MEETEETSE - Ninety teams braved the cold Saturday and Sunday on the Sunshine Reservoirs for the annual Meeteetse Ice Fishing Derby with a Powell team bringing home top prize. On senior night, the Worland Warriors wrestling team closed out their final home dual of the season with a 40-30 win over the Hot Springs County Bobcats on February 7.
