The Worland Lady Warriors returned from the Re/Max Invitational in Gillette last weekend 1-2 but showed plenty of promise. Worland lost to St. Thomas More (South Dakota) 42-22 on Dec. 7 and Scottsbluff, Nebraska, 54-49 on Dec. 8, but beat Torrington 51-46 on Dec. 9. The Ten Sleep Lady Pioneers tip-off their basketball season today for the first time in two seasons. Unable to field a team due to low turnout, the Lady Pioneers have the numbers to roster a team and compete in the 2024 basketball season. Competing at the 3A State girls swimming and diving meet in Gillette on Nov. 3-4, the Worland Lady Warriors left it all in the pool and diving board in the season's final meet. The 3A State cross-country meet on Oct. 21 in Cheyenne was a historic day for the Worland cross-country program. A change in course did not deter the Worland cross-country runners as they kicked off the postseason with an impressive showing at the 3A East conference meet in Buffalo on Oct. 13.
