    The Worland Chiefs Post 44 C American Legion wrapped up their season last week, ending it with a 4-24 record. The revived program had its growing pains this season, but overall, it was a successful first season back in the American Legion ranks.     On the road last week, the Worland Chiefs Post 44 C American Legion team lost to Lander on June 29 and Cody on July 1. The Chiefs lost 18-3 in Game 1 of their doubleheader against Lander, Game 2 vs. Lander was rained out. Against Cody, the Chiefs bounced back and played in two competitive games but ultimately lost both games, losing 12-8 in Game 1 and 9-3 in Game 2. “We got 15-runned against Lander.     Hosting their annual home softball tournament on June 24-25, the Worland Wildfires 18U split in pool play and dropped their game against Riverton in bracket play.     Wanting to run before going on his LDS mission to Argentina, recent Worland High School graduate Jack Bishop tried his hand at a marathon and ended up running a qualifying time for the Boston Marathon. Running at the Governor's Cup in Helena, Montana, on June 10, Bishop ran the 26.2 miles in 2:57.47, qualifying him for the Boston Marathon.
