WORLAND — The Antelope Butte Foundation is holding a summer music festival to help benefit the re-opening of the ski area July 17-19.
The three-day festival will have a plethora of live music Friday and Saturday along with running and biking races.
On site camping will be available the duration of the weekend. There will also be food and beverage vendors with lots of games and contests the entire weekend.
On Friday, the event will kick off with musical guest Shot in the Foot at 7:30 p.m.
The biking and running races will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at 9 a.m. through 2 p.m..Contestants can register on the Antelope Butte Foundation website.
According to a press release from the Antelope Butte Foundation, “The Crow Nation will be offering a mountain blessing at the upcoming Antelope Butte Ski and Recreation Area, to help kick of (the) 2nd annual Summer Festival. The traditional ceremony will include drummers, dancers, a medicine man and other members of the Crow Nation.”
The mountain blessing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday.
Saturday will include the bulk of the musical performances with the festival starting at noon with Josh and Amber Hanson taking the stage followed by Canary Joe, Wes Urbaniak, Bad Surgery, Too Hot to Handle, The InstaGators, and closing with Ethan Chartier.

The festival is a fundraiser as the foundation works to reopen the Antelope Butte Ski Area in the Bighorn National Forest just off U.S. Highway 14.
