Paul Rea Lasater

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Hermosa Church of Christ for Paul Rea Lasater of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Lasater, 68, died Friday, August 7, 2015.

Michael Joiner and Taylor Robles will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Goss, Kent Bullock, Jim Barnett, David Lasater, John Norris, Buddy Shanks,John Foster, Dwayne Pounds, Mike Prude, Jack Joy, Roland Lundy, Michael McGlothlin, Charlie Pogue, Roy Puckett, and Taylor Rea.

Paul was born June 7, 1947 in Tiptonville, Tennessee; the son of Paul Aaron Lasater and Betty Jo (Rea) Lasater.

On August 11, 1973 he was married to Mary Lewis in Artesia. They came to Artesia in 1974 from Laramie, Wyoming.

Paul worked as a Pharmacist. He was an active member of Hermosa Church of Christ and a past member of the Artesia Rotary club. He attended York College, Abileen Christian College, and what he was most proud of the University of Wyoming where he completed his school of Pharmacy degree.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include wife Mary Lasater of the family home; daughters Staci Molina and husband Eric of Artesia, and Sarah Rogers and husband John of Mission, Texas; son Cody Lasater and wife Courtney of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren Austin Lasater, Aria Molina, Graciella Rogers, Alexander Molina, Benjamin Lasater, Witten Rogers, and Caroline Lasater; sister Cynthia Lasater of Tennessee; and his father-in-law Albert Lewis of Artesia.

Memorial contributions will be donated to the Ethiopia Water Well project, and the N.M.
