(Dick) A. Shaw, 80 year old long time Worland resident, died on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Washakie Medical Center.

Dick was born on July 13, 1935 in Worland, graduating in 1953 from Worland, High School. He played on the football team that took the state title that year.

He married Gayle Tolman on September 19, 1954 in Worland. Dick worked for Safeway as a clerk, transferring in 1963 to Greybull where he became the manager until 1968. The family moved to Denver, CO working again for Safeway. He and Gayle were sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1970. In 1972, they moved back to Greybull where he opened Papo's pizza.

Dick started working for Empire Gas Company and the family relocated to Worland, he continued with Empire until his retirement.

Dick loved the mountain, spending time with family and friends and helping with girl's church camp. He also loved his dogs. Dick served in many callings within his church.

He is survived by his wife Gayle of Worland, son, Richard (Melanie) Shaw of Gladstone, OR, daughters; Margaret (Norman) Dvorak of Billings, MT. Sari (Robert) Shepard of Spokane, WA, Brenda (Perry) Wilzbach of Kearney, MI, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents 2 brothers; Milton E. and John V. Shaw.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Worland Wyoming Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center with Bishop Charlie Wassum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening at Bryant Funeral Home from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, also at the church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
