Worland Garden Club celebrates end of the summer with picnic

WORLAND – The Worland Garden Club held its annual end of the summer picnic in a lovely tree shaded yard with a little dog and a few chickens joining in the fun yesterday.

The table was set with all kinds of goodies, from salads to casseroles and cupcakes and cookies with your choice of burger or hot dog.

General conversation was, as expected, garden oriented with tips, tricks and ideas. "We meet year round on the third Wednesday of each month at the extension office at 9:15 a.m. We have an end of summer picnic and a Christmas party," Christine Weber, club memeber said.

During their meetings the Worland Garden Club doesn't just discuss gardening. "We have programs such as weed prevention, yard tours and herbal remedies and how they help plants," Weber stated.
