Rakness: Declining PAWS scores do not tell the whole story, WHS students’ ACT scores rank near the top in Wyoming
WORLAND — The Wyoming Department of Education released the Performance Assessment for Wyoming Students test last month. Because the state has implemented more rigorous standards for Wyoming students, school districts statewide, including Washakie School District No. 1, are seeing a decline in students’ proficiency rates, according to WCSD No. 1 Curriculum Director/Grants Manager Jody Rakness.
