Marjorie Mae Pebbles, 87, died Saturday, August 29, at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center after a period of declining health.
Born March 7, 1928 in Galeton, Colorado, she was the daughter of William K. and Harriet (Osbaugh) Moyer. The family moved to Newcastle, Wyoming, then Thermopolis where Marge attended Lucerne School and graduated from Thermopolis High School.
In 1945 she married Robert “Bob” Pebbles in Billings, Montana. The couple lived in Thermopolis until moving in 1970 to Oregon where they owned and operated Oregon Trail Motel and Travel Lodge. They returned to Thermopolis in 1990.
Marge was employed at Gottsche Rehabilitation Center and later retired from Country Emporium.
She was a member of Community Federated Church; Better Homes Club, bridge club and was active at Gottsche Wellness. She enjoyed volunteering at Senior Citizens and looked forward to dining out. Her family was the love of her life. Her many interests were cooking, sewing, crafts, cards, shuffleboard, games, Bingo and was an avid Rockies Baseball and Denver Broncos fan.
Loved ones surviving include her sons, Robert (Rozanne) of Dillon, MT and Bart (Kim) Pebbles, Santa Ana, CA; daughters, Cheryl (Jack Kuiper) Shero, Thermopolis, and Joanne (Will) Grasmick, New Plymouth, ID; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren; and special friend, DeWain Raasch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Lee Pebbles; husband, Bob; and brothers, Don and Harold Moyer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 11:00 am at Community Federated Church with Rev. Chuck Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery.
