Danny E. Sinner

Longtime Rock Springs resident, Danny Emanuel Sinner, 67, died on August 29, 2015 in Spanish Fork, Utah at the Spanish Fork Nursing and Rehab Center.

Danny was born on March 3, 1948 in Riverton, WY, a son of Donna L. (Hart) and Emanuel Lawrence “Jerry” Sinner. He was raised in Worland, WY where he graduated from high school in 1967. He attended Casper College for one year before joining the U.S. Navy where he served for four years.

He had worked for Gas Hill Uranium at Riverton, WY before going to work as a trona miner for 29 years at the General Chemical soda ash mine and plant near Rock Springs. He was a member of the UMW, and the Elks Lodge and American Legion in Worland.

Danny had married Patricia Gaughan at Casper, WY on October 2, 1974. She died on Oct. 6, 2000.

Danny enjoyed traveling to San Diego, CA and to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He was very fond of his dog, “Teddy.”

He was preceded in death by his father, by his wife Patricia Mathews, by his stepfather George E. Bertagnolli, and by his grandparents.

Danny is survived by his daughter Laurie Ann Mathews of Tucker, Georgia; by his mother Donna Bertagnolli of Rock Springs, WY; by his brother Steve Sinner of South Jordan, UT and by his sister Susan (Jerry) Bucholz of Cody, WY.

Cremation will take place in Utah and no funeral services are planned. The cremains will be buried in Riverview Cemetery in Worland. Veile Mortuary of Worland was in charge of the disposition.
