Sandra Sue (Sandee) Lumley Garrelts, 67, passed away September 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana, from complications of cancer. Sandee was born September 21, 1947, in Billings, Montana to John Lumley and Helen (Moore) Lumley.

As a small child the family moved to California, before settling in Thermopolis, Wyoming in 1955. On May 22, 1981 she married long time friend Jim Garrelts in Thermopolis and they were blessed with two children, Rebecca and Brett.

In 1991 the family moved to Bartlesville, OK. Her nursing career continued mostly in Home Health nursing. She particularly enjoyed visiting with her elderly patients about the “good old days.”

Sandee and Jim had just sold their home in Bartlesville to embark on the life of being full time RV’ers in their motorhome.

Sandee enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, visiting with friends and family, the RV rallys, but most of all she enjoyed being a grandma.

Sandee is survived by her husband of 34 years Jim, daughter Rebecca (Parker) Sweet MD, son Brett (Emilie), grandsons Brody and Jacob Garrelts, sister Cheryl (Gary) Matthews, brother John (Mary Jo Mason), sister-in-law Linda Bredeson, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 3 cousins and 2 nephews.

Cremation has been held and a memorial service will be held July 2016 at the annual family reunion, in Thermopolis, WY.
