WORLAND — October is a time for Fraternal Order of the Eagles to help out area food pantries.
The “People Helping Pantries” project was conducted Oct. 3. Locally, however, the Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary have decided to conduct their usual October and November food drive.
According to Lory August, a box is available at the Eagles in Worland for all non-perishable donations that will be given to the local food pantry.
Monetary donations will go to the ministerial association, she said.
We have decided to stay with our usual food drive.
The Eagles #3096 club opens at 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Anyone can drop off any donations after 4 p.m., August said.
According to the Eagles People Helping Pantries informational sheet, millions of people throughout the United States and Canada go hungry each day. By organizing food pantry events, the Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary are hoping to make a difference.
