Warriors earn 3 All-Conference selections; Caballero tabbed as All-State once again

WORLAND — The Wyoming Coaches’ Association released its All-Conference and All-State lists on Monday and three members of the Worland Warriors were featured on the lists.

Seniors Mauricio Caballero and Wade Goncalves made the 3A West All-Conference list for the second year in a row and were joined by junior Daniel Araiza.

Caballero was also named to the 3A All-State team for the second year in a row, Worland’s first two-time selection since Bronson Hernandez (2010-11).

Caballero finished the year second on the team in rushing with 385 yards and three touchdowns and second overall in 3A in defensive points, averaging 18.3 per game.

Goncalves was fourth on the team with 9.6 defensive points per game and had eight tackles for loss on the season.

Araiza led the team in rushing with 389 yards and was third on the team in defensive points with 10.4 per game.
